Alfred Sibley passed away peacefully at his home on November 7, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 26, 1939, in Walker, Louisiana, to Monroe “Boy” Sibley and Lela Mae Sibley. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Alfred served his country with honor and integrity. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career as a plant operator, working faithfully for 40 years. Alfred was also an active and devoted member of Mangum Chapel Methodist Church.
Alfred is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Patsy; his children, Denise Sibley, Dana and Marty Wilcombe, and Lynette and Eric Wheat; and his seven cherished grandchildren, Luke Luce, Grant Luce, Amy Luce, Nicholas Wilcombe, Madison Wilcombe, Joseph Wheat, and Katherine Wheat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Lela Mae Sibley; his daughter, Renée’ Sibley; his sisters, Madee Edwards and Maxie Thompson; his brother, Wayne Sibley; and his grandson, Reed Wheat.
Alfred’s legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Mangum Methodist Church Walker, LA on November 10, 2025, from 9 to 11 am for visitation and a memorial service at 11am.
