Alfred W. Soo, age 85, passed away June 2, 2026 in Denham Springs. Born on October 3, 1940 in New York, New York, Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant with the 101st Airborne Division. Following his military service, he built a successful career in the automotive industry. He served as president and general manager at Tom Benson Automotive World and held various leadership positions in management, sales, finance and used car operations throughout his career.
Alfred was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from caring for those he loved. He enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, reading, spending time at the beach, playing golf, and cheering on his favorite football teams, LSU and the Saints. His warm presence, generous spirit, and dedication to family created countless cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.
He is survived by his wife, Frances L. Soo, daughters; Jennifer Bourgeois and Stephanie Caragliano (Thomas) ; sons, Jonathan Soo (Kerri), and Chester Duncan; grandchildren, Brandon Mills, Amanda Mills, Caleb Mills, Casey Duncan, Morgan Duncan, Savannah Flores, Giovanni Deluca, Kallie Hunt, Cannen Soo, and Julia Soo; great-grandchildren, Myles Deluca, Addie Bourgeois, Paisley Hunt, Sterling Mills, Shaden Mills, and Sawyer Gieson; sisters, Maryanne Cascio and Alice Oliver. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and extended family.
He is preceded in death by "Bill" William Soo, Julia Soo, and Jeannie C Mills.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Soo, Giovanni Deluca, Chester Duncan, Jr., Cannen Soo, Brandon Mills, Caleb Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Bourgeois, Thomas Caragliano, and Mike Mills.
The family would like to thank Randy Bourgeois, Sandi Delaune, and Eric Placiano for their love and care during this difficult time.
Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. Burial and graveside service will take place on Monday June 8, 2026 at Louisiana National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
