Listen to Obituary

Allen Landry, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on January 23, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren.

Allen grew up on a sugarcane plantation in Thibodaux, Louisiana and it was there that he learned his strong work ethic. This work ethic led him to a very successful career as Vice President of field services at Jacob’s Engineering. He was an avid outdoorsman and you could often find him fishing, running crab traps and catfish lines, or spending time with his family at their camp on Belle River. He loved his family and his favorite moments were spent with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If he ever needed a good laugh or a smile, his great-grandchildren were always there to make it happen. His loving spirit will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann; children, Tammie Brignac (Kirk) and Chris Landry; grandchildren, Katie Kogel (Jordan), Ashley Lockhart (Tyler), Layne Landry MD (Amanda Langston Landry MD) and Lauren Landry (significant other Braytin Harper); great-grandchildren, Kannon Kogel, Briggs Kogel, Vivienne Lockhart, and Joseph Hayes Lockhart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Maggie Landry, sister, Margaret and her husband Valley Vampran Jr. and brother-in-laws, John P Ducote and Carlton Brantley.

The family would like to thank Dr. Castellanos and nurse Gretchen, Dr. Rouse, Dr. Calegan and Father Matthew from Immaculate Conception Church. Special thank you to the nurses and sitters with Tri Luxe Health, as well as nurse Tina and Chaplain Todd with Hospice of Baton Rouge who were all by his side caring for him and the family during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank Deacon Tom Simmons at Judson Baptist Church for conducting the graveside service.

Per Allen's wishes, a private graveside service was held.
