Angela Perkins, 53, a long time resident of Independence, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026. Angela worked for many years teaching and loved to encourage the minds of her students. She was an active member of St. Helena Catholic Church in Amite City, LA. Though she had no children of her own, she loved and cherished her nieces and nephews as if they were hers, including Margaurite whom she shared a very special bond with. Angela was a truly caring person and devoted her life to caring for her parents. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and her life will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Domiano Perkins; sister, Mary Margaret Perkins; and nephew, Mitch Perkins.

She is survived by her father, Mack James Perkins Sr.; brother, Mack Perkins Jr.; nieces and nephews, Jami and Joey Reid, Ashley and Blaine Miller, Nicholas Perkins, Joseph Sirchia, and Margaurite and Rodger Granger; great nieces and nephews, Kenli, Karlee, Kolton, Taylor, Case, Clay, Cam, Ashleigh, Ashton, Ahydon, Ryder and Maddix.
