Barbara Dykes Adams

Barbara Ann Dykes Adams, age 84 of Hammond LA. Passed away peacefully at her home in Pumpkin Center on Tuesday September 19 th . She was born Thursday April 6 th , 1939, to Toy and Wodroe Dykes. She was one of eight siblings. Barbara was a retired 28-year employee of Walmart. She was a wonderful m other and g randmother. She loved spending time with her family and telling stories of old times. She also loved her old recipes and teaching her son , daughter-in-law and grand kids how to make them. Barbara was a born-again Christian who Loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Barbara is survived by her only son , Bobby Gene Adams J r., daughter-in-law, Tracey Kinchen Adams, two b eautiful granddaughters, Kayla Michelle Adams Stromeyer and Emily Paige Adams , sister, Laura Brown , a s well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her Loving Husband of 65 years Bobby Gene Adams S r . and siblings Lorraine, Jerry, Toy J r ., Minnie, Tommy and Rosa. The family would like to thank North Oaks Hospice and their Great Staff of Nurses and Aides.

The Family would also like to extend a ve ry special thank you to all of those who prayed without ceasing, sat with us, provided food and kept our grass cut during this time. God has truly blessed us!
