Bertha Stout Darbonne

Bertha Stout Darbonne passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024.

A native of Leonville, LA, and a resident of Denham Springs, Bertha was the beloved wife of the late James Darbonne.

Together, they raised a family including the late Darrel Darbonne, Mathilda Darbonne, Stacie Blade (Chuck), and the late Annette Laurent (Gerald). Daughter of the late Evelina Guidry Stout and Gerard Stout, she is survived her 2 sisters: Ruby Latiolas (Raymond) and Lucille Dupre, and preceded by her sisters Edna Robin, Gilda Robin, Elizabeth (Liza) Johnson, Evelyn Bazar, Eula Mae Stout Marks, and brothers Joseph Stout, Curly Stout, and Thomas Stout.

In Bertha’s honor, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation and Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Visitation at church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Bertha’s spirit will forever live on in the laughter of her 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, as well as in the memories of the countless lives she touched.
