Betty Jean Erwin Hammers, age 83, passed peacefully at home in Watson on November 19, 2025. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born on December 14, 1941 to L.D. and Anna Erwin.

Betty is survived by her son, Gary Randall “Randy” Cobb; grandchildren Stephen Randall Cobb (Lauren) and Matthew Ryan Cobb (Natalie); great-grandchildren Addison, Ava, Ryan, and Sam Cobb; as well as nieces and a nephew.

Betty was preceded in death be her first husband Jesse Cobb, Jr. and second husband Austin Hammers, parents L.D. and Anna Erwin; sisters Sadie M. LeCoq and Hazel V. Erwin; and brothers Willie D. Erwin and John B. Erwin.

A special thank you to Vital Caring Hospice for the care and love in Betty’s final days.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 9AM to 12PM on November 24, 2025 until the funeral service at 12PM, officiated by Pastor Johnny Morgan. Graveside services will be at Live Oak Cemetery in Watson following the funeral services.
