Betty Williams Madere, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on March 4, 1934, in Amite, Louisiana.

She graduated from Greensburg High school and later attended classes at LSU, she loved gardening, mowing her yard, reading, and her African Grey Parrots. Her favorite saying, with a twinkle in her eye was that she lived longer than anyone else in her family and it must have been because of all that good clean living. She had a friendly nature and a quick sense of humor; she will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon “Sherry” Bennett of Central, Tobbie Windham and partner Jack English of Chalmette; son, Delmar Windham III of Greensburg; grandchildren, Penny Carter and partner Brian Inman, Del Windham, Phillip and wife Brittany Lavergne, Troy Lavergne, and Cody and wife Ellen Bennett; and 12 great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Karl Madere; former husband, friend and father of her children, B.D. Windham, Jr.; her parents, Bernard and Florence Willams; and her son in law, Kenny Bennett.
