Beverly Dee Sutton Barnett

Beverly D. Sutton Barnett passed at the age of 89 on July 26, 2025. She was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana on January 13, 1936 to her parents Harry B. Sutton and Winnie Sutton. She graduated from high school and was dedicated to taking care of her family. She enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing, and spending her time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those that had the joy to know and love her.

She is survived by her sons Steven Barnett (Elise White), Joseph Blake Barnett (Larie), and Reed Barnett, grandchildren Ben Barnett, Brittany Owens Barnett, Evan Barnett, Kelsey Brown, Davis Brown, and Jordan White, great-grandchildren Briana Barnett, Mike Barnett, Kennedy Barnett, Beverly Barnett, Jacob Barnett, and Brock Owens, brothers Percy Sutton, AE Sutton, Lathan Sutton, Milton Sutton, and Richard Sutton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her spouse of 57 years Levell “Chick” Barnett, and parents Winnie Hayman and Harry B. Sutton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Crossing Hospice of Baton Rouge or the Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs.

There will be a graveside service held at Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:00am.
