Beverly Ann Smith Waldrop, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on August 24, 2024. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, “Bev”, a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Louisiana State University, led successful Marketing Departments for American Bank, Hancock Bank, Parkland Hospital and Malcolm Travel. Bev enjoyed traveling, NBA basketball, spoiling others on holidays and birthdays and making memories with family and friends. Bev loved fiercely, and was a cherished daughter, mother, sister and friend, but her greatest role was being “Bebe” to her beloved granddaughters. She loved her girls.

Bev was preceded in death by her father, Jack D. Smith Sr., her husband, Ross Waldrop, and son, Trey Waldrop. She is survived by her mother, Betty Edrington Smith, daughter, Jessie Waldrop Matens, son-in-law, Alan Matens, granddaughters Avery and Lexie Matens, brothers Ronald Poremba (Annemarie), Jack D. Smith Jr. (Jeri), David Smith, sisters Barbara Boyd and Alissa Viscardis (John Pat), daughter-in-law Heather Duncan and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on September 8, 2024, with visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM and a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
