Bobbie Nell Whitehead Falks, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on June 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 19, 1944, to Woodrow Wilson Whitehead and Verla Cleona Whitehead. Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose love for her family was the center of her life. A faithful member of True Light Baptist Church, she lived her life guided by her faith, kindness, and dedication to those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children: Valmond Falks, Jr. and wife Cindy of Livingston, Louisiana; Teresa Tate and husband Teddy "Ted" of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Melissa "Missy" Gomez and husband Stephen "Todd" of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and Robert Falks and wife Tiffany of Walker, Louisiana.
She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Travis Falks and wife Jessica, Bradley Falks, Lauren Stueber and husband Nathan "Nate," Teddy Tate, Jr., Terryl Wayne Tate and wife Lisa, Timothy "Timmy" Tate and wife Camille, Brandi Gomez, Anna Cox and husband Christopher, Jessica Rachal, Kayla Falks, Robert "Ethan" Falks, and Henri Falks. She was additionally blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her siblings: Wilson Whitehead and wife Wanda, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Blanchard, Bertha "Bert" Basso, Vickie Bond, Gary Whitehead and wife Janie, and Oma Kaye Smith. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Larry Johnson, and wife Janice. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Whitehead and Verla Cleona Whitehead; her beloved husband, Valmond Falks, Sr.; her son, Carl Wayne Falks; her sister, Verla Sue Johnson; and her grandson, Jesse DeWayne "Gunchie" Tate.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Compassus Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and support shown to Bobbie and her loved ones during her final days. The family would also like to express their deepest appreciation to her daughter, Teresa Tate, who lovingly welcomed her mother into her home and served as her devoted caregiver for the past ten years. Special thanks are also extended to her son-in-law, Ted Tate, for opening his home, supporting Bobbie's care, and sharing in the love and commitment that allowed her to remain surrounded by family. The family is especially grateful to her grandson, Timothy "Timmy" Tate, and his wife, Camille Tate, for their loving support, care, and assistance during Bobbie's final days. Their compassion, generosity, and dedication were a tremendous blessing to Bobbie and to all who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs, 1020 South Range Avenue, Denham Springs, Louisiana 70726. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation, with Pastor Barry Posey officiating.
Pallbearers will be Timothy "Timmy" Tate, Terryl Wayne Tate, Teddy Tate, Jr., Izaiah Stueber, Robert "Ethan" Falks, Henri Falks, Travis Falks, and Bradley Falks.

Bobbie's legacy of faith, love, sacrifice, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and fondly remembered.
