Bonnie Ledell Granata

Bonnie Ledell Granata, 72, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, in Zachary, Louisiana. She was born on January 29, 1954, in Jonesville, Louisiana, to Beulah and Steve Ledell.

Bonnie was a strong-willed, adventurous woman who loved deeply and lived life on her own terms. She was known for her generous heart, her love of family, and, if you knew her well, her unmistakable stubborn streak. She had a gift for making a house feel like home. She loved cooking and baking, quilting and cross-stitching, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, she treasured her family and especially loved being a grandmother to Bentley and Beckett Gilchrist.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Sal Granata; her daughter, Brandie Gilchrist and her husband, Bryan; her grandchildren, Bentley and Beckett; and her sister, Rosie Chaney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and Steve Ledell, and her brothers, Ben Ledell and Ken Ledell.

Bonnie leaves behind a lifetime of memories, family traditions, recipes, quilts, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed, but her love will remain woven into the lives of her family forever.

The family will be holding a memorial service at Journey Church - Watson on October, 16 from 5:00-8:00.
