Breanna Marie Sullivan, 43, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on June 4, 2026. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Breanna was adopted at 4 months old by Dan and Sharren Sullivan and brought home to Waterloo, Iowa. She grew up in the Waterloo and Dubuque area before the family moved to Walker, Louisiana, where she became a proud graduate of Walker High School.

Breanna’s compassion for others guided her life’s work. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work from LSU and dedicated her career to helping people find hope and healing. Her impact was recognized when she was honored as *Addiction Counselor of the Year*. To her clients, she was a fierce advocate. To her colleagues, she was a steady and generous mentor. To all who knew her, she was proof that kindness can change lives.

Family was the center of Breanna’s world. She treasured her parents, Dan and Sharren Sullivan, and shared a close bond with her brother Jeremy Sullivan and her sister Ashlee Cote and brother-in-law Ricky Cote. She adored her nieces and nephews: Ava and Addison Sullivan of Walnut, California, and Madden and Ruby Cote of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Breanna was especially proud to be Ruby’s godmother, a role she cherished deeply.

Breanna is also lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Rox Anne and James Mull of LeGrand, Iowa; Janet Sullivan of Aurelia, Iowa; Marilyn Sullivan of Edgewood, Iowa; DeeAnn Sullivan and Loras Sabers of Manchester, Iowa; and DJ and Carla Sullivan of Manchester, Iowa. She was welcomed by an extended family of cousins and friends across Iowa and Louisiana who will miss her warmth, quick laugh, and unwavering loyalty.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dick and Doris Drury and Donald and Elizabeth Sullivan; and by her aunt Denise Madlom and uncles David and Dennis Sullivan.

From Seoul to Iowa to Louisiana, Breanna’s journey was marked by resilience, empathy, and a belief in second chances. She loved LSU football, road trips with her siblings, and quiet mornings with coffee and a good book. Most of all, she loved being part of a big, loving family that chose her, and that she chose right back.

A celebration of Breanna’s life will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on June 12, 2026, with Father Jared Cooke officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a local addiction recovery program in Breanna’s honor, so her work can continue through others.

She leaves behind a legacy of service and love that will not be forgotten.
