Buffy Marie Brinkley

Buffy Marie Brinkley passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intelligence, and generosity that touched countless lives. For over 25 years, she dedicated herself to her work at Baton Rouge Community College, where she was deeply respected and genuinely loved by colleagues and students alike. Buffy was a gifted and creative spirit. As a published author, she shared her talent through both a beloved children’s book and a fiction trilogy, leaving behind stories that will continue to inspire others for years to come. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her generous nature, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by aunts Lola Duncan White and Lisa Koles, cousins Jason Lynn Duncan (Shannon), Dawn Smith (Perry), Angela Duncan, Misty Duncan, and William S. White, Jr (Lindsey). 

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Doris Duncan Brinkley, father, William “Bill” Marion Brinkley, brother, Jesse Brinkley, uncles Edmond Ray Duncan and Thomas Lynn Duncan and grandparents, James and Gloria Duncan.

She will be deeply missed, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she is at her Heavenly Home with her beloved canine companion Abby-Jo by her side.

There will be a visitation held at Seale Funeral Home (1720 South Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726) on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am with a memorial service starting at 11:00am.
