Burch Dwayne Allen, 54, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Baton Rouge.

Born on July 9, 1972, in Baton Rouge, Burch was the son of Cheryl Burch Scott and Ronnie Nicholas Allen.

Burch built a successful career in the electrical construction industry, spending many years with companies such as MMR and ISC. He never met a stranger and had a warm, welcoming way about him that drew people in and left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Above all, he loved his girls and his family deeply. He was an avid fisherman and a lifelong bodybuilder who first took up the sport as a teenager and continued it with passion and dedication for the rest of his life. He lived fearlessly and loved riding four-wheelers, motorcycles, and anything fast.

He is survived by his four daughters, Christine Renee Allen, Kay Simone Allen, Tessi Jane Allen, and Sloan Marie Allen; his mother, Cheryl Burch Scott; his sisters, Renee McCrory (Brant), Cherron Philippe (Devin), and Megan Fremen (Colin); his brother, Jacob Allen (Alicia); his nephews, Dylan Philippe (Kate), Print McCrory, Dustin Philippe, and Wynn Fremen; and his nieces, Kacie Teague (William) and Katie Mayhew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Nicholas Allen; his brother, Nicholas Lee Allen; his stepfather, Sidney Scott; and his grandparents, Lucille and David Allen, Rena and Clifton Burch, and Adelia Williams.

The family would like to thank Christina Wilburn for being a very special part of Burch’s life. The family would also like to thank MMR and the staff of Baton Rouge General.
