Caden Christopher
Garon
July 6, 2001 – May 2, 2026
Caden Christopher Garon, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 24. He was born on July 6, 2001, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Caden graduated from Walker High School in 2019. He went on to proudly serve his country in the Louisiana Air National Guard. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller at the Lihu‘e Tower on the Hawaiian Island of Kaua‘i. Prior to moving to Hawaii, he served as an Air Traffic Controller at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts and also worked in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. His passion for aviation extended beyond his career, as he even began learning to fly small aircraft while living in Martha’s Vineyard. Although he did not complete his certification, his love for aviation was evident to everyone who knew him.
Caden loved spending time with his large family and wide circle of friends. He was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering on the LSU Tigers and the LA Chargers. Caden had a curious mind and loved learning new things. He amazed people with his ability to solve a Rubik’s Cube at lightning speed and enjoyed staying active through pickleball and tennis. More recently, he discovered a passion for darts and proudly represented Troy’s Bar in Kaua‘i during a tournament in Las Vegas.
More than anything, Caden loved people. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a way of making everyone feel heard, valued, and welcomed no matter who they were or where they came from. His contagious smile could light up any room, and his thoughtful, genuine personality naturally drew people to him.
Caden is survived by his mother, Laci Kanada; his father and stepmother, Christopher and Kelli Garon; his sisters, Addisyn Garon and Piper Colona; his brothers, JP Garon and Parker Colona; his grandparents, Charles Garon, Susan Houston, Kirk Kanada, and Angie and Dave Phillips; his aunts and uncles, Josh and Jennifer Garon, Eric and Mary Garon, Shelly and BrandonTullier, Michael and Carla Houston, Tammy Cannon and Kevin McCann, and Justin and Mallory Kanada; along with numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth “Lily” Kanada; his step-grandfather, John Houston; his cousin, Dorothy “Dottie” Kanada; and his step-grandmother, Vickie Garon.
