A longtime resident of Walker, Louisiana, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served two tours of duty. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7017. Calvin was a mechanic for 42 years at Kleinpeter Farms Dairy, rising to shop foreman. After retirement, he worked 10 years for Kenworth as a local parts delivery driver. Both of these careers gave him great pleasure.

Calvin was a proud member of the Republican Party. He loved his LSU Tigers football. He exhilarated in traveling, seeing the majority of the country and parts of Canada. He was a proud grandfather of 21 and great-grandfather of 14. He doted on his family and his Standard Poodle, Bella. The love of his life was his family. And that love was returned in full. We will remember his sweet smile and warm hugs.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Calvin’s home.
