Candace Sydney Vincent

d. June 17, 2025

Candace Sydney Vincent a life long resident of Denham Springs, born September 6th, 1950 to the late Sidney and Ruby Vincent, arrived to her Heavenly home on Tuesday June 17th, 2025.

After a courageous, hard fought, and many years long battle with cancer, she has gained the highest reward and is walking whole, healed and new with Jesus. She was able to spend her final days at the beautiful, loving home of her brother Chip and his wife Robin. While there she enjoyed visits from family and friends, and rested with peaceful views of Robin’s roses, baby cows, and lush green grass. Getting to eat all the ice cream she wanted and drinking as many Dr Peppers as she could get, was just a small part of the loving and gracious care given to her by him and his amazing devoted wife. Candace was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where she achieved her degree in Social Work. She spent her professional career working for the state, in many different departments, ultimately retiring from The Office of Family Services in 2007.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Amber Ford and her children Hailey, Ethan & Zoey; Lillian Elizabeth “Liz” Daniels; Wade Daniels and his family, Emily Pupo(Anthony); Jacob (Mattie), Owen & Claire; Nathan(Deanna), Wrenlee; Misty Massarek (Jason) and their family, Ryan and daughter Peyton; Collin(Lauren), Hadley & Penelope; Caleb; Loving baby brothers Chuck and Chip(Robin) Vincent; Nieces and Nephews and their families: Mandi(Clint), Adison & James; Landon and son Connor; Cody(Katie), Camille, Bowen & Josie; Sommer (Gavin), Ruby & Vidalia; Chett (Rachael) Slone, Ty Sidney, &  Ellie. Sister-Cousin Debbie Vincent Fitch and numerous other close cousins and relatives who all held a special place in her heart. Life long best friend Ms. Rae, and Ms. Glenda, Mom Reba, and Mrs. Karen, all sisters in Christ who loved and cared for her deeply, and who became more like family than friends.

Her greatest joys were her children, grand children and great grand-children. Always so proud of each and loved to show and tell about them as often as she could. Her love and care for them knew no bounds.

The cornerstone of her life, was living a life devoted to Christ and sharing Him with all she met. She loved her church families. She loved serving in any way she could. Always willing and wanting to help anyone in need. Always ready to give the best hug, especially if she knew you needed one. And despite the hardships she fought later in life, due to illness, she never lost her smile or hope. At any given time you could walk into her home to find her with her Bible and praise and worship music in the background. That was her foundation, and she stood on it openly and proudly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Ruby Vincent, husband Gary Daniels and Son-in-Law, Clint Ford.

Services will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 with visitation from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM and memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM.
