Carl Wayne “Fuzzy” Watts, 77, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on November 13, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1948, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, hard work, and a love for the outdoors.
Carl enjoyed a long and respected career with the Louisiana Department of Transportation, where he was known for his dedication and steady presence. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with the people he loved most.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sally Truax Watts; his daughter, Tiffany Martello and husband Michael; his son, James Watts and wife Laurie; and his beloved grandchildren: Brady Watts, Dakota Watts, Jade Martello, Jace Martello, Jamie Hotard, Jordan Hotard, and Jaclyn Simmons. He is also survived by his sister, Cathy Graves and husband Keith; his brother, James “Jimmy” Watts and wife Ellen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton J. Watts and Audrey McMorris Watts.
Pallbearers will be Jace Martello, Michael Martello, Loyd Woodruff, Zack Necaise, Brody Watts, and Dakota Watts.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Baton Rouge General 5th and 6th floors, as well as Dr. Posher and Dr. Gahagan, for their compassionate care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Road, Denham Springs, LA for a visitation on November 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on November 18, 2025 at Seale Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service will be held at Beechridge Cemetery.
Carl’s legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
