Carol Ann Williamson Elrod

Carol Ann Williamson Elrod, age 72, passed away at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, LA, July 17, 2026. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a graduate of Broadmoore High School. Carol dedicated 36 years of her life working for the State of Louisiana in the Cultural and Recreation Tourist Division. Although she was a member elsewhere, she had been attending Unity Prayer Center with her daughter and grandchildren. She was always a woman of faith and showed her kindness daily. Known for her selflessness, she always put others ahead of herself without hesitation.

Carol is survived by her only daughter: Ashley Ann Elrod and her significant other, Kenneth Giordano; three grandchildren: Kaleb Giordano, Alyssa Giordano, and Brayden Giordano; one sister: Janet Whitehead; a sister-in-law: Tricia Whitehead; and several other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Elrod; one grandson: Ethan Giordano; her parents: James and Virginia Williamson; two brothers: Jimmy Williamson and David Williamson and his wife, Tekla Williamson; and a brother-in-law: Mike Whitehead.

Seale Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements and care. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
