Carolyn Tassin Bordelon

Carolyn Tassin Bordelon passed at the age of 89 on August 26, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1936, in Mansura, Louisiana to her parents Ulysses and Eldie Moreau Tassin. She took pride in taking care of her family and was a member of the St. Margaret Ladies Auxiliary. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and dancing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by those that had the privilege to know and love her.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years Allen George Bordelon, daughters Tina Marie Bordelon and Kay Bordelon Keen and husband Maurice (Scooter) Keen, son Glen Patrick Bordelon and wife Kayla Bordelon, grandchildren, Garrett Michael Ripoll (Amanda Munson), Noelle Angela Ripoll, Olivia Keen Byers (John “Beau” Byers III), Maurice “Reese” Keen Jr. (Catherine Keen), Patrick Allen Keen, Ashlyn “Andy” Bordelon Chiang Lopez (Damien Chiang Lopez), and Jacob Benjamin Bordelon, great-grandchildren Nicholas Allen Ripoll, Audrey Lauren Ripoll, George Fredrick Byers, John Paul “Jack” Byers IV, Adeline Rose Keen, and Maurice “Tripp” Keen III.

She is preceded in death by her son Tommy Vincent Bordelon, grandson Chad Bordelon, parents Ulysses and Eldie Tassin, step mother Irma Tassin, sisters Olange “Ollie” Tassin Jeansonne (Edwin), Velma Tassin Pierce (Ted), Ivy Tassin Theriot (Frank), Helen Tassin Vasquez (Frank), and Eldie Tassin, brothers Charles “Red” Tassin (Ella), Raymond Tassin (Audrey), Merlin Tassin, and John “Pete” Tassin (Polly).

There will be a service held in Albany LA at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church (30300 Catholic Hall Rd., Hammond, LA 70403) on Saturday, August 30th starting at 10:00 am until Funeral Mass at 11:00am.
