Carolyn Kay
Lee
Aug 26, 1946 — Sep 5, 2026
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Carolyn Kay Lee, born August 26, 1946, passed away on September 5, 2026. A lifetime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Carolyn was a God-fearing woman whose life was marked by faith, forgiveness, and an abundance of love for those around her.
Carolyn was loved by many and will be remembered as a woman with a tender heart and a forgiving spirit. She had a special way of welcoming others into her heart and making them feel like family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter, and she extended that same unconditional love to her blended and extended family, embracing each of them as her very own.
Her family will miss her more than words can express. Though her earthly presence is no longer with them, they find comfort in knowing that Carolyn is resting in the arms of her Lord. Their faith gives them hope, and they eagerly look forward to the blessed day when they will be reunited with her again in glory.
Carolyn leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, forgiveness, and family.
She is survived by her daughters, Shan Owens, Shari Dilley, Sheila Rodrigue, and Suzanne Magee; her son, Steven Dilley and his wife, Kathlene; ten grandchildren, Bryan Dilley, Tyler Ourso, Nikki Dilley, Katelyn Dilley, Scotty Dilley, Corey Dilley, Brittany Dilley, Makayla Guerin and her husband, Hunter, Bryson Rodrigue, and Dylan Coffman and his wife, Miranda; great-grandchildren, Caleb Dilley, Chance Lewis, Jaxon Radley, unborn Baby Guerin, Aubree Coffman, Wally Coffman, and Wyatt Coffman; and one brother, Clifton “Butch” James.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton James and Francis Stirrat; her son, Kenneth Scott Dilley; two grandchildren, Aaron Herbert and Trent Lee; her aunt, Christine “Chris” Dennison; her sister-in-law, Debra James; one son-in-law, Richard Magee; and an honorable mention of John Jarreau.
Carolyn’s family was one of the greatest joys of her life. She loved deeply and without condition, never allowing the distinction of “blended” or “extended” family to lessen the love she gave. To Carolyn, family was family, and everyone she welcomed into her heart was loved as her own.
Though Carolyn may no longer walk beside her family, the love she gave will remain forever in their hearts. Her memory will be treasured, her life celebrated, and her faith will continue to bring comfort to those she leaves behind until that glorious day when they are reunited once again.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Seale Funeral Service was entrusted with final care and arrangements.
