Cecil Boyce Moore

Cecil Boyce Moore, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born on June 10th, 1931, to Robert Britt Moore Sr. and Vesta Wright Craft Moore. He graduated from Pine Grove High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, followed by an eight year stint of dairy farming, then 37.5 years with Ethyl Corporation. Upon its closing, he was the last employee to leave the plant.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Paula Mae Sibley Moore, son Donald Boyce (Pam), daughter Paula Jean Chavers (Keith), daughter Linda Sue Johnson (John Keith). He had seven grand-children: Rachel Hodges (Tommy), April Johnson (Derrick), David Chavers (Jackie), Bobby (BB) Moore (Lindsey), Nikki Lavergne (Travis), Summer Bunch (Matt), Tobin Boyett (Kie). He had sixteen great-grandchildren: Thomas, Aubrey, Weston, Hudson, Anna, Blaire, Connor (CB), Bryce, Locke, Knight, Sylar, Knox, Joah, Ellis, Beckham, and Autumn.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Britt Moore Sr. and Vesta Craft Moore, and his brother Robert Britt Moore Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jim LaGrone, David Chavers, Bobby Moore, Thomas Hodges III, John K Johnson, and Sheriff Clay Chutz. Honorary Pallbearers: Buddy Fitzhugh, Carl James Chutz, Connor (CB) Moore, Bryce Moore, Hudson Chavers.

Visitation will be Friday, April 10th, 9:00-11:00am at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs (1720 South Range Ave, Denham Springs LA 70726). Service is at 11:00am with burial in Craft Family Cemetery to follow. Rev. Michael Townson and Rev. Beryl Billiot officiating.

He was a member of Pine Grove Church. Verse in his journal, Psalms 46:10, He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
