Chad Alan Blankenship, age 60, passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, October 2, 2026. Chad was a life-long resident of the Baton Rouge and Denham Springs and a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an automotive mechanic, but enjoyed fishing and drawing. Above all hobbies, he loved his family and any time he was able to spend with them, especially if it meant showing off his proficient cooking skills.
Chad leaves behind a caring family to cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife: Christine Blankenship; four sons: Trenton Blankenship, Johnathon Blankenship, Nicholas Blankenship, and Joshua Blankenship; two daughters: Brooke Hofmeister and Kaitlynn Blankenship; seven grandchildren: Remington Blankenship, Jennings Blankenship, Haven Blankenship, Johnathon Blankenship, Jr., Julian Thompson, Haisley Blankenship, and Ellery Blankenship; one sister: Marilyn O’Neill (Mike O’Neill); one brother; John Blankenship; a niece: Shelley Scott (Robert Scott); two nephews: Clayton O’Neill and Greg O’Neill; and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John Wesley Blankenship and Catherine Robinson McCausland; and one nephew: Paul O’Neill.
Seale Funeral Service was entrusted with final arrangements and care. A memorial visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home Friday, October 9, 2026, in the chapel starting at 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
