Charles Garvin Moore Jr., resident of Livingston, passed at the age of 71 on August 11, 2026. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 22, 1954 to his parents Charles Garvin Moore Sr. and Annie Herring Moore. Charles worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the Carpenters Local 1098. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, either hunting or fishing, as well as being an avid collector of guns and knives. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his spouse of 50 years Verna Lee Moore, brother Russell Moore (Beverly), brother-in-law Stanley Terry, numerous nieces and nephews, and two special young ladies Faith Johnson and Emma Smith.
He is preceded in passing by son Ellis Ray Moore, parents Charles Garvin Moore Sr. and Annie Herring Moore, sisters Annie Stafford and Connie Martinez, mother-in-law Bernice Wilson, and father-in-law Homer “Preacher” Wilson.
There will be a visitation held at Seale Funeral Home in Livingston, LA from 9:00am to 11:00am with a service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Gateway Gardens Cemetery.
