Charlotte Devilla Johnson Browning, 89 and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at her home. She was born or October 20, 1936, in Williamsburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Dave Edward Johnson and Eva Huffman Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Browning Jr., a son Dave Wilson Browning and a brother Dale David Johnson. Charlotte retired from the state of Louisiana. She loved collecting and sold antiques in the antique village in Denham Springs for a number of years. Charlotte was a Christian with strong faith. She loved visiting with family and friends. She loved to cook and was known for her hospitality. She often told people "Come back anytime, you're always welcome." People often left her home after a good cup of coffee and dessert.
Charlotte is survived by daughters Cheryl Browning Collins and husband Sonny, Stacy Browning Easley and husband Steve and her daughter-in-law Beate Browning; grandchildren Jason Collins, Susanna Collins, Nicole Easley Farrell and husband Josh, Dylan Easley and wife Victoria, and Eliora Browning; great grandchildren Brooklynn Crehan, Adalyn Farrell, Boden Ferrell and Hunter Easley. Charlotte is also survived by a brother Lowell E. Johnson and wife Rebecca of Lewisburg, West Virginia, and her good friend Shirley Reuther.
