Clara Del Rosario Barrios, resident of Baton Rouge, passed at the age of 86 on April 5, 2026. She was born in Cien Fuegos, Cuba to her parents Lupo Amador Juan Menendez y Paneque and Merida Gonzales y Aranzola on September 12, 1939. After graduating from high school, Clara received her associates degree from Havana Business University. She worked as a Spanish interpreter as well as a medical secretary for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting anything she felt inspired by. Clara will be dearly missed by those that had the privilege to know and love her.
She is survived by her daughter Evelyn B. Aucoin, grandchildren Shawn, Somer, Skyler, Kirtan, Kenneth III, Jessi, Brandon, Alec, Reed, and Cami, and great-grandchildren Cayden, Kale, Zachary, Andi, Angel, and Ivy.
She is preceded in passing by her husband Darwin Barrios, son Jesus Alberto Barreiro, and parents Lupo Amador Juan Menendez y Paneque and Merida Gonzales y Aranzola.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
