Clara Price Duncan, born May 9, 1931 in Baywood, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2026 surrounded her family.
Clara was an Avon Salesperson, a Caregiver, and for over 25 years, a Livingston Parish employee with the wonderful reputation of making the “best school rolls” and was loved by all who knew her and worked with her. She attended Pine Grove High School and obtained her G.E.D. later in Livingston Parish. She was a resident of Watson, Louisiana since 1969 and she always prided herself with beautiful flower beds and her “famous” green thumb gardens for 50 years at her home. Her door was always open to family and friends for a cup of coffee, a good home-cooked meal, or just a wonderful visit at the kitchen table helping her solve a cross-word puzzle, a favorite hobby of hers.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume Wednesday, May 6 from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery, Pine Grove. Pallbearers will be Curt Allen, Terry Stafford, Trampas Duncan, Chris Stafford, Peyton Stafford, Matthew Duncan, Jason Impson, and Marshall Henson. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Lively, Wayne Duncan, and Michale Impson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. “Bill” Duncan; son, James “Benny” Duncan; daughter-in-law, Marsh Duncan; and grandchildren, Jessie and Tiffany Duncan; several sisters and brothers of the Price Family; and sons-in-law, David Chauvin and Bobby Squires.
She is survived by son, Wayne Ducan; daughters, Judy Duncan Squires, and Cindy Duncan Chauvin; 10 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 14 great great-grandchildren.
She was a lifelong, faithful member of Amite Baptist Church of Denham Springs. She enjoyed Sunday School with her close-knit group of Godly sisters every Sunday morning for over 50 years. She loved her family immensely, and several friends from her church.
