Clarence Jefferson May Sr. “Pee Wee” A resident of Walker was called home on Tuesday, September 9,2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Clarence was 86 years old. Born on August 22, 1939 to Clea and Zettie May. He is survived by daughters, Tammy Mitchell (Michael), Frankie Bozeman (Rory), Dixie Agent (Raymond) and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great- Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Magdalene May “Maggie”, Children, Veronica Sue Smith, Clarence May Jr “Jeff” , son in law Richard Smith, His parents and sister, Mrs. Johnnie Blount, and brothers: Bill, Murray , Cline, Carl “Cotton ”May. Clarence was of the Pentecostal faith and deeply loved his church. When his health began to fail and he could no longer attend church he never missed his online services and was able to hear his name called up in prayer. He often said prayers gave him strength to keep going another day.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at Walker Pentecostal Church 9969 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA at 1:00pm until Funeral Service at 3:00 pm conducted by Rev. Clay Rouse. Burial will immediately follow at Felder Cemetery Hwy 16 in Denham Springs. Pallbearers will include grandsons and close friends.
The family would like to give special appreciation to Joyce Gooden and Bubba Deaton who were so much more than neighbors. He truly thought of them as his bonus family and there was never a time when he called on them that they were not there to help with whatever he needed and to the staff of Baton Rouge Hospice for the amazing care he received.
