Claudia Watson Dufour

Claudia Watson Dufour, a loving mother, granny, sister, aunt, and friend went to her eternal home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was 75 years old. Claudia loved deeply and always showed up when it mattered most. She found joy in everything, even the most random things. Being called Granny was her greatest joy, one she cherished immensely.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Chris Dufour (Haylie), Craig Dufour (Stacy); grandchildren Cody Dufour (Brennan), Tyler Dufour (Lisa), Christopher Dufour, Haleigh Barnett (Devin), Dustin Vaughn, John Vaughn, Rush Azlin (Syndey), and Aubry Henry (Jade); great-grandchildren Adrienne Dufour, Cordelia Barnett, Grayson Azlin, Roper Henry, Amelia Azlin, and Jarrod Dufour; four brothers Leroy “Butch” Watson (Anne), Joey Watson (Peggy), Randy Watson (Cheryl), and Coy Watson (Meggan), sister-in-law Donna Sue Dufour; brothers-in-law Rickie Dufour (Pam) and Troy Dufour (Laurie); along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Claudia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Darrell Dufour; her parents Leroy and Frances Watson; in-laws Daniel and Lula Mae Dufour; brothers-in-law Terry Dufour and Paul Dufour; sister-in-law Diane Dufour; grandson Adam Stafford; great-grandson Ridge Henry.

A special thank you to Linda Nettles, Carla Murray, Anne Watson, Leigh Anne Zachary, and Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care.

Pallbearers will be Cody Dufour, Tyler Dufour, Christopher Dufour, Dustin Vaughn, Rush Azlin, John Vaughn, Jay Watson, and Mark Watson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude or the Brain Injury Association of Louisiana ( biala.org ).

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
