Cody Blake Ramey

Cody Blake Ramey, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, went home to be with Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

He was born on March 1, 1988, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; however, he was raised in Denham Springs and remained connected to the area throughout his life.

Cody was a quiet and gentle soul who kept to himself and preferred peace over conflict. He had a calm, easygoing nature and was most comfortable simply taking life as it came.

He was the oldest of 3 siblings and enjoyed fishing with his grandpa, karate with his father, and creating mischief with his two brothers as a child. He had a passion for cooking and was quite talented at it, and even worked several jobs where he could use his talent regularly. He loved rock music, especially metal. He had a deep love for his mother and often looked to her for strength and wisdom.

Above all, he was a loving father to Elijah and Kailey Ramey, and loved his children deeply.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Joella May; great-grandfather Joseph Chamberlain, great-grandmother Grace Chamberlain; grandfather Richard May; grandmother Leola Ramey; and stepmothers Sherri Ramey and Danette Ramey.

He is survived by his father, Brian Ramey; mother, Marilyn McDonald, and her husband, Ronald McDonald and his son Hunter McDonald; twin brother Corey Ramey and his children, Payton Ramey, Brayden Ramey, and Bella Ramey; and brother Joseph Ramey and his wife, Michelle Ramey, and their children Christian Caillouet, Breonne Caillouet, Isabelle Ramey, and Alaina Ramey; and aunt Amanda May and her son Tristan Comeaux.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family, many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In accordance with his wishes, private arrangements will be made by the family.
