Connie Rae Moore Martinez

Connie Rae Moore Martinez, a resident of Livingston, Louisiana, passed away on August 28, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born on January 16, 1950 to Charles Garvin Moore and Annie Dean Herring Moore. She began her career as a hairdresser, but her love of children led to a career in childcare. She taught Sunday school for many years at Doyle Baptist Church and later became a member at Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was always willing to help at any event. She found great joy in cooking (especially baking), reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a faithful and loving presence in the lives of all who knew her, a true nurturer who gave selflessly to family, friends, and community. Her steady spirit and constant care will be greatly missed. Connie is preceded in death by her husband, HulandMartinez, parents, Garvin and Dean Moore, maternal grandparents, Ray and Annie Herring, paternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Moore, and sister, Annie Stafford. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Terry, son, Marty Martinez (Tijuana), daughter, Sandy Martinez, two grandsons, Abram and Bryson Martinez, two granddaughters Nalaya Sibley (Austin) and Mya Laughery, brothers, Charles (Verna Lee) and Russell Moore (Beverly), and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been made by Seale Funeral Service. Services will take place on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bayou Barbary. Visitation will be held from 9-11am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Connie’s burial will take place at Gateway Memorial Park, Livingston, following the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Abram and Bryson Martinez, Ron Davis, Logan and Mason Davis, Cooper Causey, and Austin Sibley. Funeral service will be led by Rev. Paul Taylor.
