In Loving Memory of Connie Whitehead Blanchard

Connie was born in East Baton Rouge Parish and was a longtime resident of Clinton, Louisiana. On October 26, at 3:58 p.m., Connie peacefully took her last breath, surrounded by the love of her family.

Connie was loving wife to J.B. Blanchard daughter of Priscilla and Oliver Duncan, and sister to Robert, Jerry and his wife, Ramona, Larry, and Paul Duncan. She was a loving mother to Katherine “Nikki” (Owen) Hoyt, Husband Daryl Hoyt. A proud Memaw to Damon Hoyt, Marissa Dewald(Hoyt) husband, Devin Dewald, Clayton Hoyt and Zoe Duncan (girlfriend) She was also a cherished great-Memaw to Jack Cannon, Salem Hoyt, and Luka Dewald.

Connie leaves behind many other beloved family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Duncan, and her husband, Levon Charles Whitehead Jr.

Connie found joy in caring for the animals around her, from the dogs and cats she loved dearly to the squirrels and birds that visited her property. Her compassion for animals was simply another reflection of the love she carried in her heart.

In honor of Connie, her family asks that you perform an act of kindness for an animal. Whether it is feeding a stray, providing a little extra love to your own pet, or donating to an animal shelter.
