Cynthia Pearson Menier passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at the age of 76. She was born on July 29, 1949 in Ville Platte, Louisiana. She is remembered as a deeply loving and compassionate matriarch who loved cooking and taking care of everyone, she was a very selfless person who raised (6) children and taught them to be independent. She loved taking her grandkids and great grandkids for weekend adventures whether it was camping or just to McDonalds to play at the play place. Her love for people was inspiring and infectious. She was a hardworking mother who learned the trade of fitting and welding and became a shipyard fitter/welder by trade along with many other talents.
She is survived by her children, Shelly Lanclos (James), Dawn Farve (Fred), Tina Chauvin (Dale), Keith Menier (Angie), and Douglas Menier, Sr. (Bobbie) ; grandchildren, Kristen, Hunter, Glenn, Kary, Shelby, Jamie, Jenna, James, Kaitlyn, Carlee, Jade, Jody, Gage, Laken, Shay, Gabby, and Fred; also the many great-grandchildren; her brother, Tony Dougia and sister Janice Moonier also numerous nieces and nephews; and her children’s father, Shelton Menier
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, George Pearson and Leola Soileau Pearson; and sisters, Susan, Katherine, Tammy grandson Douglas Jr. and lifelong partner Cherrl Simon.
There will be a celebration held on September 21, 2025 at 7988 Chaparral Dr., Denham Springs 70726.
