Family and friends of Dalton “DD” Joseph Delaune Jr are deeply saddened to announce his passing on July 29, 2026 at the age of 86. In Denham Springs, LA.

He grew up in Morgan City, LA working hard and playing hard. Dalton told many stories of delivering groceries from his family’s store and playing high school football. After moving to Central, LA, he stayed active until shortly before he passed in bowling leagues twice a week. He could be seen working in Walmart where he started working in the warehouse then helping out in the garden center. A celebration of life will be held in Morgan City at Morgan’s Restaurant on Sunday August 16th, 2026 at 1pm. Family and friends are invited to share memories.

Because his second home was the bowling alley, a celebration of life will also be held in Baton Rouge at All-Star Bowling Lanes on (Sunday August 23rd at 1pm)
