Darlene Anderson Hoover

Darlene Anderson Hoover, age 68, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. She was born on August 3, 1957, in Centreville, Mississippi.

Darlene was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She retired from the Livingston Parish School Board after faithfully serving as a school bus driver, where she touched the lives of countless students and families with her kindness and caring heart.

A woman of unwavering faith, Darlene loved Jesus and found comfort and strength in reading her Bible. Her relationship with the Lord guided her life and was evident in the love, compassion, and encouragement she shared with those around her. She treasured time spent with her family and created lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Danielle Renee Hoover (Damon Landers); step daughter, Amelia Lowe (Shawn Lowe); grandson, Collin Jude Domangue; aunts and uncles, Richard Phillips (Sue), Sue Landry, Ola Phillips, and Mary Aguillard (Pierre); father-in-law, Rudolph Hoover, II; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Hoover, III., parents, Ocie Anderson and Jo Ann Phillips Anderson; aunts and uncles, David Phillips, Ivy Smith, F.C. Phillips, Jr., and William Larry Phillips.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Louisiana on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 for a visitation starting at 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kentwood, Louisiana at 1:00 PM.
