Listen to Obituary

David L. Fleming, 63, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. He was born on August 31, 1962, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Ronald Fleming, Sr. and Bonnie Rogers.

David graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy in Port Gibson, Mississippi, and spent many years working in a variety of roles within the construction industry. He was a devoted LSU Tigers fan who rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on the purple and gold. He also had a passion for collecting and trading cards and had an exceptional eye for spotting even the smallest imperfections, a skill that reflected his attention to detail.

David lived with a quiet generosity, always willing to help others in ways both big and small. That spirit of giving continued even after his passing through the gift of organ donation with the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA), a final act of compassion that will continue to touch the lives of others.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Our Lady of the Lake for their exceptional care and kindness. They are especially grateful to the Heart Critical Care Unit for the compassion, dedication, and outstanding care shown to David and his loved ones.

David is survived by his mother, Bonnie Dyess Rogers; his brother, Ronald Fleming, Jr.; his nephews, Nick, Austin and Jake Fleming; his longtime companion, Sharon Lazard; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fleming, Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

David will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyal heart, and the kindness he showed to those fortunate enough to know him.

Seal Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements and care.
