David L. Fleming, 63, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. He was born on August 31, 1962, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Ronald Fleming, Sr. and Bonnie Rogers.

David graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy in Port Gibson, Mississippi, and worked various jobs within the construction industry. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the purple and gold LSU tigers. He also had a passion for collecting and trading sports cards.

In order to help others, he donated his organs to Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA).

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Our Lady of the Lake for their exceptional care and kindness. They are especially grateful to the Heart Critical Care Unit for the compassion, dedication, and outstanding care shown to David and his loved ones.

David is survived by his mother, Bonnie Dyess Rogers; his brother, Ronald Fleming, Jr.; his nephews, Nick, Austin and Jake Fleming; his longtime companion, Sharon Lazard; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fleming, Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

David will be remembered for his quiet strength and loyal heart.
