David Earl Tanner

David Earl Tanner, resident of Walker, passed at the age of 76 on March 9, 2026. He was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana on November 28, 1949 to his parents Agnes Thibeaux and Carl Tanner. He graduated from high school before working as a plant supervisor for many years. David was also a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country in the Vietnam War in 1969. He enjoyed spending his time wood-working, taking care of his chickens, and working in the yard. Most of all, David was happiest when spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his spouse of 44 years Linda Tanner, sons Dallas Dunaway and Doug Yager, daughter Christiana Tanner, brothers Wes Tanner, Ricky Tanner, Jody Tanner, and Kelvin Tanner, sisters Linda Bledsoe, Carloyn Netterville, Robin Tanner, Vickie Donnell, Judy Mollier, Carla Tanner, and Suzanne Jackson, grandchildren Hunter David Dunaway, Kalleigh Dunaway, Nate Masterson, Kaci Dunaway, Destany Fitzgerald, Casandra Pouricau, Hannah Pouricau, Gavin David Yager, Myles Yager, Rachel Lerma, Ryan Rowan, and Reagan Rowan, and other family and friends Don & Robbie Craig, Larry & Til Richard, and Trisha Roy.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Agnes Thibeaux and Carl Tanner.
