Debera Lynn McMorris

Debera Lynn McMorris of Denham Springs went home to meet the Lord at 4:52 AM Thursday, October 16, 2025 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Monday, October 20, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with graveside service immediately following Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron McMorris, Mickey McMorris, Michael Blouin Jr., and Michael Blouin III.

She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed painting and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Bill McMorris; son, Aaron (wife Haohao) McMorris, two sisters, Delores McDonald, Esther (husband Mike) Turner; two brothers-in-law, Mickey (wife Amanda) McMorris and Michael (wife Kaylie) Blouin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Jesse Hood; brother, John L. Hood; and sisters, Ruby Grace Benefield, Ysleta Martin, and Ernestine Clark.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the care team of Clarity Hospice and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. A special thank you to family and friends for their support, love, and meals and to Alice St. Roman for the love and care she provided.
