Dedrick Gill

Dedrick Gill, resident of Livingston, passed at the age of 96 on January 11, 2026. He was born in Amite, Louisiana to his parents Otto and Esther Gill on December 26, 1929. Dedrick enjoyed spending his time fishing, and more than anything playing softball. He was an avid enjoyer of watching ballgames and even marshalled for LSU football for many years. He was also proud to serve his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He will be deeply missed by those that had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived daughter, Bonita Sager (Brian); son, Stephen Gill (Wendy); grandchildren, John Sager (Christy), Cody Sager (Hannah), Ashton Stout (Cameron) and Micah Gill; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gayle Gill, parents Otto and Esther Gill, and sister Lucille Gill Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Gill, Brian Sager, Micah Gill, Cameron Stout, Gary McMorris, and Rodney Guitreau.

Visitation will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 9:30am to 11:00am with a funeral service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery.
