Delores Eve “Hidalgo” Conlee, resident of Watson, passed at the age of 83 on July 29, 2026. She was born on March 2, 1943 to her parents Raymond and Eve Hidalgo in Plaquemine, LA. After graduating from high school, Delores worked as a waitress before eventually coming to own a daycare, dedicating herself to the care of children. She was a devout Catholic and member of her Church. In her free time, Delores enjoyed fishing on the pier at Bayou Pigeon and playing at the poker room. She was happiest when spending time with her family and friends. Delores will be dearly missed by the many people privileged to know and love her. Her love, joy, and kindness will live on in those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her sons Randy Hidalgo and Rodney Limely, grandchildren Courtney Hidalgo, Dillon Hidalgo, Taylor Hidalgo, Michael Hidalgo, Jordan Hidalgo, Morgan Schaeffer, Victoria Limely, Joshua Limely, and Matthew Limely, great-grandchildren Junior Franks, Riley Pennington, Liliah Schaeffer, Luka Schaeffer, Scarlett Hidalgo, Sebastion Hidalgo, Carter Pugh, Scharlotte Nicole, and Connor Nicole, sister Ruby Rayburn, brother Frank Hidalgo, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as the many children in the Watson and Denham Springs area that she cared for over many years.
She is preceded in passing by her spouse Melvin Conlee, parents Eve Phillipe Hidalgo and Raymond Hidalgo, brothers CJ Hidalgo, RJ Hidalgo, JP Hidalgo, and Billy Hidalgo, sisters Mary Lee Miletello, Mary Jane Bolz, and Gloria Genusa.
There will be a visitation at Events at Serenity (33135 LA-16, Denham Springs, LA 70706) on Saturday, August 22 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A service will start at 11:00am with a meal and fellowship to follow. A private graveside service will take place after 2:00pm.
For services, please bring a side or dessert. Message Rod to let him know what you are planning to bring so that there isn’t too much of one dish. (512)751-7282.
