Derral Dean Walker

Derral Dean Walker, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, passed at the age of 80 years old on July 8, 2025. He was born on November 13, 1944 to Thomas and Eva Walker in Minden, Louisiana. Derral proudly served his country in The United States Marines, and is an honored Vietnam Veteran.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Barnard Walker; daughters, Beckee Walker Carrier, Sharon Walker Vicknair (Gary), and Sarah Walker; step-sons, Jude Ray Carrier, and Jeffrey Carrier; grandchildren, Kathryn King, Ashley King Lachance (Leo), Christopher Madden, Chase Madden (Destini), Katie Vicknair Blahut (Alex), Austin Vicknair, Olivia Carrier, Hosea Walker, Liam Carrier, Jacob Carrier, and Jaden Carrier; great-grandchildren, Baylee Madden, Lucas Lachance, Leoana` Lachance, Alexis Blahut, Alex Kate Blahut, Ethan Blahut, and Easton Blahut; brother-in-law, Gary Barnard; nephews and nieces, Trampus Johnson, Earl Bowlin, Austin Bowlin, Jeanean Johnson Bowlin, Virginia Bowlin, and Tatum Bowlin.

Derral is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Milton Walker and Eva Louise Mendehal Walker; step-son, Jason Carrier; grandson, Kevin Bryan King, Jr., brothers, Thomas Alan Walker and Leonard Ray Walker; sister, Edna Walker Smiley (William); father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Lula Barnard.
