Dolores Forbes Lasyone a native of Baker and resident of Slaughter passed away unexpectedly at her home Monday, October 6. Dolores was born on October 7, 1957. She was a proud graduate of Baker High School. She recently attended her 50 th class reunion and talked continuously about how much she enjoyed reconnecting with so many old friends. Dolores lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling and going to the Casino. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She played Pokeno and Bonko several times a month with them. Her infectious laughter and her over the top enthusiasm and excitement when she scored a Bonko or a Pokeno kept game nights fun filled and lively. Dolores was an avid cat-mom and found immense joy in her role as caretaker to her many cats. Dolores’ grandchildren were her true pride and joy. She loved them unconditionally and spent as much time as possible with them.
Dolores is survived by her daughter Tami Tucker (Matt) and her son Shawn Lasyone (Danielle). Her former husband and father of her children Dale Lasyone. Grandchildren Chase, Cort, Croy Tucker, Shaunnarie Tate, Amaya Cannon, Mariah, Ashaunti, Alana, and Elijah Lasyone. Great grandchildren Khali Huggins, Jaylon Huggins, Jr., Araya Gautreau, and Draelon Parker.
Dolores was preceded in death by her father Jessie Frank Forbes, mother Nell Burke Forbes, sisters Kathleen Krumholt, Maxine M. Forbes, and brothers Colin Wayne Forbes and Barry S. Forbes. Great grandchildren Mhali Huggins and Demetris Parker Jr.
We will have a Celebration of Life to honor Dolores on October 18 th from 1:00 to 4:00 at Tami’s home.
