Donald John Cody, age 75, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a native of New Orleans.

Don enjoyed a long and successful career as a machinist, working from 1978 until his retirement in 2015. His profession carried him from coast to coast and throughout the Caribbean. He was also a member of the Living Church of God, and he was baptized on June 2, 2025.

In his free time, Donald found joy in dune buggies, old cars, and the simple pleasures of life. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Cody and Florence Ann Ovino, and by his stepfather, Henry J. Spako.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Florence "Flo" Cody of Covington, Louisiana, and Mary Ellen Liese of Akron, Ohio. Though he had no children of his own, he dearly loved Kelly Alford Bowerman as his own.

Honorary pallbearers are Tim Alford, Wesley Kerstens, Ray Wolf, Terry Richardson, Jim LaFleur, and Harold Daigle.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the memorial service at 3:00 PM.
