He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Crouch and Lizzie Williams Crouch; and his brother Gary Crouch.

Donald lived a life defined by service, faith, and a love for the outdoors. He began his career as a military police officer at Fort Polk, Louisiana, before dedicating 29 years of service to the Baton Rouge City Police Department. Through hard work and leadership, he rose to the rank of Captain of Uniform Patrol, earning the respect of both his colleagues and the community he served. His career was a testament to his integrity, strength, and sense of duty. After retirement, he poured that energy and dedication into practice of Martial Arts, obtaining the Black Belt level of Shodan in the Karate style of Shorei Goju Ryu.

Outside of his career, he was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water. Whether casting a line or sharing fishing stories with others, he cherished the moments he spent with a reel in his hand. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop, tinkering and creating beautiful art through woodworking. With patience and skill, he crafted pieces that reflected both his creativity and his steady, hardworking nature. His love for the outdoors extended beyond the water and workshop into nature photography. He had an eye for capturing the simple beauty of the world around him. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, riding free in the wind.

A devout Catholic, his faith remained a steady and guiding presence throughout his life. He lived his beliefs not only in word, but in the way he treated others- with kindness and compassion.
