A life defined by hard work, skilled hands, and a deep love for the outdoors came to a peaceful close on March 30,2026. Donald Milton Sullivan, a native of Holden, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Tickfaw, passed away at his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on June 5, 1951, in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late Morris M. and Catherine A. Sullivan, Donald grew up with a relentless work ethic. That drive led him to a career spanning over 30 years in the scaffolding industry. As a true master of his craft, his work took him across the country and around the globe, though his heart always remained rooted in the soil of Louisiana. When he wasn't traveling for work, Donald was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand, tending to his garden, or out shrimping on the water. A gifted carpenter, he found peace in the rhythm of building and creating. His love for travel extended beyond his career, as he cherished the opportunity to see new places and experience the world with those he loved.
Donald is survived by his three children, Debbie Blount and wife Karen, Stacey Philips, and Ryan Sullivan; his sister, Pat Sharpe and husband Jeff; and a legacy that continues through his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Moris and Catherine, and his siblings, Robert Sullivan, Joyce Sullivan, Byron Sullivan, Elaine Carrier, Harry Sullivan, Eric Sullivan, Richard Sullivan, and Charles Sullivan.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, Monday, April 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Howze Cemetery, Holden, LA. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.
