Doris O'Neal Lentz

Doris O’Neal Lentz, born on August 6, 1933 and joined the Lord on July 25, 2025. She was the first-born daughter of Carey and Thelma Jones O’Neal. Doris was a sister to Betty Gean O’Neal Weller and Debra Ann O’Neal Williams. She was married to her beloved husband Bill M. Lentz.

Doris was a graduate of Denham Springs High, Southeastern University and received her Med Plus from LSU. She taught school in East Baton Rouge and later in Houston, Texas; and finally retired as a supervisor at LSU. Doris is remembered as a devoted educator who loved her students and highly honored her profession.

Doris was baptized as a youngster and belonged to Baptist Church in the area where she lived. After retiring to Denham Springs, she and her husband joined First Baptist Church of Denham Springs and remained until death. She has been a faithful believer in God and Jesus, her Lord and Savior and is with them in heaven today. Her life has been filled with god’s many blessings. Doris loved her precious family and she will be missed greatly.

Doris is survived by her son, David Lentz and wife Rindy; daughter, Sharon Lentz Moran and husband Terry; sister Debra Williams and husband Charles; brother-in-law, Walt Weller, Sr.; grandchildren Brandi Blount, Michael Scott McDaniel and wife, Jen, Sarah Lentz Blankenship and husband Lonnie, Toby Woodrich, and Cory Woodrich and wife Sarah; great grandchildren, Brad Lentz and wife Christina, Emma Lentz, Jason Blount, Kaylee Blount, Elena Woodrich, Ella Woodrich, Ethan Blankenship, Sydney McDaniel, Chase McDaniel, Taryn McDaniel, and Krysta McDaniel; niece, Donna Waggoner and husband William; nephews, Walt Weller, Jr. and wife Ramona, Michael Weller and wife Toni along with all their families; and a loving cousin Juanita Latimer and her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Weller; and nephew, Carey Williams.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2:00 PM until service at 3:00 PM. Entombment will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum.
