Dustin Ferrel Fooshee

Dustin Ferrel Fooshee, 32, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Dustin was a graduate of ITI Technical College. He was a member of the Live Oak Wrestling Club, USA Wrestling, and the Live Oak Sports Association, which was also a coach for wrestling. He loved motocross, wrestling, golf and fishing any time he could. Dustin loved his family and he will be deeply missed by them and his friends.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Liberty Faith Fooshee; sons, Skylar and Jett Fooshee, and Owen Rogers; daughters, Alice Cline and Ella Rogers; parents Staci and Michael Self; sister, Taylor Self; brothers, Myron Patrick Brady III (Miranda), Joshua Fooshee, and Cameron Self; nieces, Malayna Brady, Gracelynn Brady; nephews, Evan Fooshee, Beckham Bearden, and Dominik Self; grandparents, Bruce and Mary Jane Easterly, Lewis and Yvonne Gill, and Mark Tate as well has many other relative and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Nancy Fooshee and Kathy Tate.

Dustin’s journey was not always an easy one—He faced struggles that weighed heavily on him. But those struggles never erased the heart of who he was. Although they were a part of his story, those struggles did not define him. He loved hard, and never wavered. He gave us moments of joy that will live forever in our hearts. And though his time with us feels far too short, his love continues through each of us—and especially through his children, who are his greatest legacy.

As we remember him, let us hold onto compassion, kindness, and the reminder that every life has value, even in its struggles. We honor him not for the battles he faced, but for the love he gave and the lessons he leaves behind.

Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing his spirit lives on—in laughter, in love, and in each of us who were lucky enough to have known him.
