Earl Flowers, a devoted Fiancé, Son, Father, Brother, Pawpaw, and Friend, passed away July 26, 2025, at the age of 55. Earl was born in Aurora, IL and lived in Livingston parish for most of his adult life.
Earl is preceded in death by stepfather J. Gordan; stepmother Janice Flowers; paternal grandparents Robert and Sylvia Flowers.
Earl is survived by his fiancé, Stephanie Kindle. Three daughters, Nichole, Madison, Chloe and bonus daughter Chelsea. He also leaves behind two bonus sons, Brandon and Stephen (Tabitha) as well as 3 grandchildren and 5 bonus grandchildren.
Earl is also survived by his father, William Flowers; mother, Cora Gordon; his brother, John Wayne Flowers (Debbie); sister, Sheila Olps; brother, Donald Sturch; and sister Regina Woodward (Greg); and many others who were lucky to know and be loved by him.
Earl’s legacy is one of fierce love, loyalty, honesty, and joy — and it will live on in the hearts of every person he touched. Earl was passionate about his role as a parts manager at Bulldog Fire Apparatus, where he worked for the company for 2 years. He was previously employed with Ferrara Fire Apparatus, where he worked for 15 years. Earl enjoyed working for these companies and gained lifelong friends. Earl was full of life — bold, joyful, and unapologetically real. He told it like it was, never sugarcoating the truth.
He loved the outdoors and spent his free time camping, fishing, and firing up the grill. When he wasn’t doing those things, you could find him taking a ride on his Harley or relaxing with his dog, Maxx. He treated everyone like family. Loyal, hardworking, and deeply loving, Earl always showed up for people in ways that mattered — with his whole heart.
