Edna Darlene Musson Hein, known to family and friends as Darlene, passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 68.

Darlene was born on September 13, 1957, and spent much of her life in Louisiana. She later moved to Lafayette, Georgia, where she made many memories and lasting connections during her years there. In time, she returned to the Baton Rouge area, where she lived for her remaining years.

She had a caring heart and found joy in the simple moments of life. Darlene loved flower arranging and took pride in creating beautiful arrangements. She was also an avid LSU Tigers fan and enjoyed cheering on her team.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cecil Musson and Edna Grace Mulkey Musson, and her brother, Cecil Ray Musson.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Hein; her sister, Belinda Musson; her son, Mark Kittle (wife, Deb); her daughter, Joni Gaughan; her beloved grandchildren, who brought her great joy; and other family, including cousins, as well as many friends.

Darlene’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
